Drying characteristics of bamboo and wood products:
Bamboo and wood products need to be dried and insecticidal to prevent wet materials from drying, shrinking, and being eaten by insects in the usage environment. Traditional drying is nothing more than long-term drying in a hot air kiln (furnace). Bamboo and wood both have longitudinal fiber structures. During traditional heating, the transverse thermal conductivity of bamboo and wood wet materials is particularly poor. To achieve the drying requirements at the center, it not only takes a long time, but also due to the different fiber structures and textures, the heating is uneven in all directions. During the drying process, the material cracks, twists, and deforms, resulting in a high scrap rate.
Suitable for secondary drying of low to medium density wood such as pine, fir, birch, paulownia, as well as semi-finished furniture, solid wood doors, musical instruments, etc. If the moisture content is around 16% to 20%, use this type of equipment to dry to below 12% for about 5 to 30 minutes. It is also suitable for insecticidal and antifungal treatment.
